Piedmont tour has started

Our Piedmont tour is under way as we arrived in the beautiful town of Alba – centre of the universe for truffles, Barolo, Barbaresco and so much more.
We wandered leisurely through the town on our way to my favourite restaurant – Cortiletto d’Alba.
All I can say is that a very relaxing evening ensued. The wine and food flowed and Elisabetta and her team seamlessly kept replenishing plates and glasses.
It was a wonderful, traditional Piemontese dinner: a selection of appetisers, the famous Tajarin pasta, slow cooked beef, pork with hazlenuts and the glorious Bunet steamed pudding. Arneis and Nebbiolo d’Alba wines washed it down. A cracking start to our tour.
