Chile – Itinerary shaping up nicely

I am getting very excited about my Chilean wine tour, and have been working extensively on the detailed itinerary.

My goal is to explore the diversity of the different valleys and micro-climates and this will be eminently demonstrated when we visit Matetic Vineyards in the San Antonio Valley, south of the Casablanca Valley, and renowned for its cool climate Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.

In contrast as we head north of Santiago to Aconcagua, and closer to the Equator, we will find warmer, richer styles of red wine and visit the amazing Errazuriz estate.

Within the Maipo Valley, south west of Santiago, it is almost impossible to pigeon hole any style.  Here we visit the cooler vineyards of Vina Chocolan, and then head inland towards the warmer sites of Undurraga or Demartino.
