Our second tour to Northern Spain in 2024 has started and as always, it is great to be back in Valladolid. Having convened in the Gareus hotel bar, we sampled some local Verdejo before heading out to Trigo restaurant.
As ever, we were warmly welcomed by Noemi and settled in for a cracking evening of top class cuisine. Victor is an incredibly talented chef and as usual the appetisers were a sublime mix of clever creations incorporating beetroot, potato and a host of unrecognisable ingredients that you could never master at home. A rice and chorizo like no other followed, a wonderful Bonito fish course and a tuna dish followed by cheese. Wonderful Rueda and Ribera del Duero wines completed the picture.
