I’m well down the road of finalising this November’s tours to Chile, and very grateful to my friend Quentin Sadler for his advice and suggestions.
Quentin is like me a wine educator and speaker, and (unlike me) a rather good photographer. He is particularly interested in Chile, and is very excited about how much Chile is changing – Chile’s new generation of young winemakers are experimenting with new regions, new grape varieties, new vineyard techniques, and new approaches in the cellar.
However, it’s not all new new new. In recent vintages they are making much less use of new oak, and they are starting to produce some fabulous wine from old vines that frankly weren’t pulled up because smallholder famers in more remote rural vineyards couldn’t afford to!
Please take a look at some of Quentin’s recent blogs about Chile.
Have a great weekend.
