Our first night in the Loire Valley had us assemble in the bar of our hotel in Tours for a glass of Vouvray Mousseux, prior to strolling to La Deuvalière Restaurant for dinner. A beautiful evening – still light at 10pm!
Dinner was a perfect introduction to the fabulous gastronomy and wine of the region: asparagus, pork in a very delicate curry sauce, three perfectly ripe cheeses and a chocolate mousse to finish. More Vouvray Mousseux, some Touraine Sauvignon and a Chinon red were perfect.
Great to see people catching up having met on previous tours, and to welcome some new faces! And a great itinerary awaits…
