Second Sicily Tour commences

Our second Sicily tour of 2024 has started and our first lunch took place again at the Grand Hotel Faraglioni in Aci Castello – thirty minutes up the coast from Catania airport. With gorgeous blue skies and a wonderful view of the sea, we tucked into a rich aubergine melanzane, a sumptuous field vegetable risotto, a perfectly cooked piece of croaker fish with a nut and breadcrumb topping and some delicious strawberries and yoghurt ice cream. All washed down with some excellent Grillo and Nero d’Avola.

Then on to Siracusa to settle into our hotel and explore the town.
