We flew from Salta directly to Mendoza on Tuesday morning and luckily were able to check in straightaway to the impressive Diplomatic hotel.
Our first night dinner was at the acclaimed Magnolia restaurant – a mere 600 metres from the hotel. This is a lovely restaurant with an open kitchen, a reputation for fantastic breads and a very tasty dinner was served. We quaffed back a range of Mendoza wines and it gave us the opportunity to reflect on our last few days in Salta and welcome new people either on their first South America leg or rejoining from Uruguay.
