2017 Wine Tours and Wine Holidays
Since 1997 I have run over 90 tours to wine regions in Europe and the New World. My programme of 2017 wine tours includes new destinations and some old favourites, and any of my tours will give you the most wonderful experience of visiting beautiful places, tasting fantastic wines and food, and meeting the people who make the wine and tend the vines.
In the Spring I have run three tours to Sicily and two tours to Slovenia, both new destinations this year. We returned to Rioja, with a focus on smaller family run estates, and also to Tuscany, which is always a joy to visit.
In September, by popular demand, I ran a tour to Piedmont, following the success of this year’s tour. I also returned to Bordeaux, and in October ran my first organic wine tour in nearly 20 years to the Languedoc, in conjunction with organic wine specialists Vintage Roots. And finally, in November went to South Africa, where over two tours we covered the famous wine regions of Stellenbosch and Paarl, and some lesser known but very exciting regions such as Hermanus and Elgin.
